I apologize for being a little MIA. The beginning of the month is always busy at work and we went away last Shabbos, so there was no Shabbos menu… stay tuned for this week’s. It has yet to be decided, but I can assure you that it will be super easy. I’ve been trying to get back in the habit of KOAMC, but it’s been hard- I just can’t seem to find enough time to do it. Instead, every time I cook something, I try to double and freeze it. Since I didn’t have to cook an entire Shabbos meal last week, I made two zucchini kugels and one onion kugel. I usually make those two kugels at the same time since they both use the food processor and I hate cleaning all those little parts. I wish I could’ve made more! Darn work- it always gets in the way!
How long does it take for you to adjust to a new routine?
Until next time,
Shaindy
I’ve started putting together a “Daily News” 1-pager for my family and I have it posted by the breakfast table. It’s updated every night with details about the next day and it’s there for my nanny to see it. Since I implemented this (2 weeks ago) it’s cut down on the number of calls I get from my nanny, plus the kids are engaged and excited to see what items I’ve included on our “newspaper” (weather, extra-curricular activities, dinner plans, etc). It’s also helpful for my husband to see!! I hope to continue this in the long run.
wow! I love that idea, but it sounds like it takes a lot of time… does it? I’d like to hear more about it 🙂 For now the daily texts are working, so I’ll try to stick with it a little longer.
