This morning, soon after I got to work, I stopped by the restroom and looked in the mirror. My shirt had a huge stain on it!
If this would’ve happened a few years ago, pre-children, I would’ve been in shock that I left the house in such a state. But, on this very morning, I am still proud of myself for getting out of the house on time, stain or no stain. At least I was dressed! Right now there’s nothing I can really do about it, other than try to wash out the stain when I get home, so here I am, sitting at my desk hoping that I don’t have to get up too much. The stain is completely unnoticeable if I stay seated at the computer… lol.
I used to be really put together. I had cute skirts, matching sweaters, coordinating jewelry and a whole slew of colorful makeup that I actually wore. Times have definitely changed and now with two kids, I’m lucky to get to work with my clothing still clean. I am not a morning person, so any additional morning tasks (ex: makeup) just goes out the window in an effort to get out of the house on time. That’s probably the main reason I have so many black skirts… they don’t take much effort to coordinate with a top.
I don’t know how I didn’t notice the stain on my shirt the last time I wore it or when I took it out of the wash (could it be because I don’t fold my laundry??), but I guess it’s too late for that now. Fortunately, I’m a busy mom and have much more important things to worry about!
Please tell me I’m not the only one who goes to work like this!
Until next time,
Shaindy
