Shabbos Menu Plan: P’ Bereshis (Oct 12-13)

With all the over-eating we did over the past month, we decided to have a really simple Shabbos without much cooking.  Here’s what we’re having:

Friday Night:

  • Chicken soup with matza balls
  • Boiled chicken and soup veggies
  • Sweet potatoes

Shabbos Lunch:

  • Meatloaf (freezer)
  • Potato knish kugel
  • Acorn squash

In exciting news, a few weeks ago I made matza balls for the third time (in my life) and they did not come out rock-hard!  Yay for perseverance and following the directions!  They still weren’t as fluffy as DHs, but he just told me not to mix the eggs and oil as much as I did and that should do the trick.  I can’t wait to try it!
