The other day I came across this blog post on Kveller.com. It’s an interview with Dr. Claudia Gold about balancing work and family. My favorite part is where Dr. Gold answered,
“I think the biggest problem is guilt. When parents are at work, they worry about not being with their kids, and then when they are home they worry about not being at work. There is a pervasive feeling of never doing enough for either.”
Wow! This is basically what I’m always trying to explain to people… how hard it is to be a working mom because you can’t really concentrate on one thing and always have to balance everything in your life. It sounded so familiar to me because in the past I’ve written about the mediocre mom feeling that I often have.
Proof that I’m not the only one who struggles to balance everything!
Until next time,
