I feel like my life is always in a rush.
I rush in the morning to get dressed and out of the house.
I rush to get everyone to school on time.
I rush to get to work on time.
I rush to do my work so I can leave on time.
I rush to the train station to catch the train on time.
I rush home to get everyone fed, bathed and into bed on time.
I rush to make myself dinner, because by that time of night, I’m usually starving.
I rush to pack everyone up for the next day.
I rush to shower and get into bed so I can start all over again the next day.
So, I’m going to try and slow down.
I don’t want to rush through car rides together.
I don’t want to rush through meal time.
I don’t want to rush through bathtime.
I don’t want to rush through storytime.
I don’t want to rush through our bedtime routine.
I don’t want to rush through my kids lives.
Before I know it, they’ll be all grown up and I will wish I hadn’t rushed through it.
Until next time,
Shaindy
