Multi-tasking is something all working moms have plenty of time to practice.
I found that setting timers helps me make the best use of my time. It reminds me to do the next step in a process, to take food out of the oven and to end my Facebook/internet surfing.
The timer app that came with my phone only had one timer and that just wasn’t enough! So, I found Tom’s Multi Timer and it’s been a lifesaver.
Here’s an example of how I used it when I was preparing for Shabbos:
With this app you can set up to 30 timers. I think 5 is the most I’ve used at a time, but I guess it’s always good to have extras if you need them?
If you look closely you’ll see that one of my timers says “laundry.” One thing I’ve noticed is that it’s easy for me to remember to put laundry into the washer, but I never seem to remember to switch it to the dryer. When I use the timer, I end up putting in more loads. Win win for everyone.
