Shabbos is getting earlier and earlier! It’s crazy how little time I have on Friday’s to get things done, so b”h for Thursday!
Last year I wrote a post called When You Work Until Candle Lighting Time – Getting It All Done on a Short Friday, so if you’re having trouble dealing with these early Shabbosim, I suggest you click on the link for some helpful tips!
Now that winter is coming, we’ve decided to have chicken soup (finally!). While this menu did take longer than an hour to prepare, it was well worth it! Here’s what we’re having:
Friday Night:
- Chicken soup with matza balls
- Chicken
- Potato kugel (store-bought)
- Steamed asparagus
Shabbos Lunch:
- Gefilte fish
- Homemade carrot kugel
- Sweet potatoes
The menu is still simple, but will be super yummy and I’m definitely looking forward to it. Wishing you all a good Shabbos!
Have you been cooking lately? What new recipes have you tried lately?
Until next time,
