My 3 Practical and Inexpensive Go To Makeup Removers

makeupRemover

Now that I’ve been making an effort to wear makeup to work, I’ve also been making an equal effort to remove it every night. I definitely don’t have one of those extensive nighttime skin care routines, but there are a few practical, inexpensive products I’ve been using and loving.

Eye Makeup Remover

The first product is my (1) eye-makup remover. It’s one of Target’s finest.  It works well for water-proof mascara and does not leave an oily residue on my eyes, like the other stuff I once bought.  Works well with cotton balls, round pafs and even just a tissue if that’s all you have.

Face Makeup Remover

The best, most cost-effective makeup remover wipes I found are (2) Always Off Makeup Cloths.  They are small towels from Walmart that only cost $2.97 for a set of 3.  These work just as well as the disposable wipes, but they are not disposable.  You wet the towel with warm water and it removes your makeup just as well (if not better) than the wipes do.  When I’m done I toss them into the laundry and the makeup washes right off.  At such a low price I bought two packs and always have a clean one on hand.

Although this does remove eye makeup, it doesn’t always remove all of it, so I recommend having a separate one on hand.

Face Wash

The last step in my makeup removal “routine” – if you can even call it that – is (3) Cetaphil.  Easy to use and easily found in any store.  It’s a light soap that makes my face feel fresh after a long day.

And that is really it.  These three things are what’s working for me right now.  What makeup removers do you recommend?

Until next time,
Shaindy
