3 posts in one week?? Although I don’t post as often as I used to I still try to keep it to once a week. This week however, I had my regular post, my guest post and now that it’s snowing today, I had a bit of extra time to post my Shabbos menu. Haven’t done that in a long time!
This week my sister, brother-in-law and 2 boys are coming for Shabbos, so we’re having some very yummy food. DH is also around today so he’s going to help with a lot of the cooking. It was his great idea to do the shopping last night so we don’t have to go out today.
Here’s what we’re having:
Friday Night:
- Chicken soup with matza balls
- Sous vide roast
- Chicken
- Beets and sweets (roasted beets and sweet potatoes)
- Couscous
Shabbos Lunch:
- Gefilte fish
- Salad
- Cholent with kishka
- Mini hot dogs and kaabobs
- Butternut squash kugel
- Apple kugel (store-bought)
For dessert we have some melon, rugelach and cake – all store-bought.

My husband also ordered a plastic bin and lid, but you can just use a large pot as shown in the Amazon pictures.
