Homemade Hot Lunch at Work

This past Chanuka I bought myself a Crock-Pot® Lunch Crock® Food Warmer.  I was hoping this would encourage me to pack a healthier lunch from home.

So far, this thing has been awesome!  I’ve been using it almost every day and haven’t gone out for lunch once since I bought it.

So, are you wondering what I pack in this thing?  I’ve been taking pictures to share with you, because even I’m amazed by this little pot thing.

I’ve decided to make my little pot fleishigs, since most of our leftovers are of the chicken/beef variety.  I also figured I could throw it in the dishwasher (and I do!) and that it would be easier for me to make my soups in a meat pot.

So far, it’s been leak-proof, which I’m so happy about.  It doesn’t give off steam or any smells and barely anyone even knows that it’s warming up my food on my desk.

So, in no particular order, here are some of the things I’ve brought to work with me.  Most of them were leftovers… the perfect solution for a single size serving!

Each meal was piping hot and definitely filling!  I pack the little insert the night before, leave it in the fridge and pack it at the bottom of my knapsack and plug it in as soon as I get to work.

Why haven’t I done this sooner??  Any suggestions of what else I can pack?  What do you bring to work for lunch?

Until next time,
Shaindy
